Commissions, Boards, and Committees

There are numerous commissions, boards, committees and task forces in the City of Oneonta. Members of the commissions and boards are appointed by the Mayor with consent of the Common Council. All members of the commissions, boards, and committees serve without pay. No commission, as per the City of Oneonta Charter, may be comprised of persons having the same political party. Each commission selects its own chair. Members of the task forces and ad-hoc committees are appointed by the Mayor with no Common Council approval needed.
