A Note from the Town Supervisor
The Town of Oneonta is Otsego County's largest, located along Interstate 88 halfway between Albany and Binghamton. It is the economic center of a two county area.
Our Southside retail district offers a wide range of shopping experiences.
Foxcare Center which is associated with Basset Healthcare provides comprehensive medical services.
We are home to some of the areas most popular restaurants including many of the chains as well as other independently owned favorites.
We are also home to some innovative manufacturing companies.
Two colleges in the area, SUNY Oneonta and Hartwick College offer great educational and cultural opportunities.
We have two senior housing developments, and plenty of land available for building homes and businesses.
If you're establishing or relocating a business, our friendly staff will assist you throughout the process. We offer an industrial park as well as sewage and water in many areas of the town. We offer easy access to major transportation routes. We work closely with the Otsego County Industrial Development Agency headed by Sandy Mathes, who can be reached at 607-432-8871.
For more information do not hesitate to contact me. We want to hear from you!
